Starch wastewater treatment technology

Product Details

Technical Highlights: This process employs an anaerobic-aerobic biological treatment method for high-concentration organic wastewater. The anaerobic treatment unit utilises the UASB (Upflow Anaerobic Sludge Blanket) process, whilst the aerobic treatment employs the SBR (Sequencing Batch Reactor) process. Following anaerobic treatment, the refractory CODCr in the wastewater is converted into more readily degradable CODCr, and high-molecular-weight organic compounds are converted into low-molecular-weight organic compounds; The SBR process operates intermittently; during each phase of the operational cycle, dominant microbial communities adapted to the substrate characteristics are present, with sludge recirculation resulting in minimal sludge discharge;

Technical Features:

(1) As this is high-concentration organic wastewater, an anaerobic-aerobic process route is adopted. Anaerobic treatment of high-concentration organic wastewater is cost-effective, offering both energy savings and biogas recovery.

(2) The anaerobic section (UASB) features a sludge bed at the bottom, where removal efficiency is achieved through contact between the influent and the sludge, whilst a three-phase separator at the top increases sludge retention time and treatment efficiency;

(3) The SBR aerobic biological treatment process is mature, offers good stability and produces effluent of high quality.
