Haihui’s Little New Year Celebration: Full of Festive Joy

On the 23rd day of the 12th lunar month—known as “Little New Year”—Haihui Environmental Protection held an event titled “Writing the Character ‘Fu’ to Welcome the New Year.” Employees used calligraphy brushes to write the character “Fu” (meaning “good fortune”), expressing their best wishes for the New Year and their work. This event filled the company with a strong festive atmosphere and showcased the unity and warmth of the Haihui team.

The 23rd day of the 12th lunar month marks the Little New Year, just seven days before the Spring Festival of the Year of the Horse (Bingwu). It is a time to bid farewell to the old and welcome the new, and to prepare for family reunions.

The Event Begins

Haihui Environmental Protection organized a “Writing ‘Fu’ Characters” activity. Tables were set with bright red Xuan paper, calligraphy brushes, inkstones, and paperweights, all ready for everyone to write.

Employees Turn into Calligraphers

Normally, employees are busy on the front lines of environmental protection, working diligently in the production workshops. Today, they set down their tools, picked up their brushes, and quietly wrote, allowing the festive spirit of the Little New Year to slowly unfold amidst the scent of ink.

Veteran Employees Take the Lead

A veteran employee known for his calligraphy skills was the first to put pen to paper. With a steady hand, he dipped his brush, guided the ink, and finished the stroke in one fluid motion. Everyone also wrote down various auspicious messages. “Strong body, lasting fortune, health, and longevity” was the blessing of health for family; “Career advancement and continuous growth” was the blessing of success for Haihui; “May all your wishes come true and everything go well” was the blessing of joy for one another; and “Peaceful days, a calm mind, and smooth sailing in all matters” was the blessing of peace for daily life.
